- We thank God for his creation and its beauty.
- We pray for all teachers.
- Thank you for all our family and friends.
- For those for whom the night has been long and full of concern.
- For all young people and the work of the Children’s Society.
- For those living in war-torn countries and can see no hope of peace or reconciliation.
- For all making decisions that will affect others.
- For those who will find it difficult to provide food for their family today.
- For the elderly of our community and those who work with them.
- We thank you for the wonder of birth and pray for new mothers.
- For our choir, organists and bell ringers.
- For all who operate our transport systems.
- For all celebrating birthdays.
- Please help me to find a moment of stillness and feel your presence Lord.
- We pray for all helping to promote a fairer society.
- For the sick, those awaiting test results, all nursing and caring staff.
- For politicians, councillors and all working for the good of our community.
- We pray for all sitting exams.
- For our flower arrangers and Holy Dusters.
- For the PCC and sub-committees.
- For all aid workers and their efforts to bring relief to those who suffer.
- We pray for the homeless and for all refugees.
- For all of our emergency services and those who volunteer in the community.
- We pray for those who will be alone and find the day very long.
- We pray for the Dean and all who pray and work in our cathedral.
- Ascension Day as we remember Christ’s ascent to heaven, so we pray for all who have died.
- We pray for the police, lawyers, judges and prison officers.
- For chaplains working in hospitals, prisons and colleges.
- For the Half Term Holidays — Lord may all teachers and students find rest and recouperation.
- For young people preparing to leave university and school and venture into the world of work.
- We thank you for all the good things of this month and look forward to the next.
