Friends Events Summer 2025

We have had two very enjoyable events, helped by good weather. Our Croquet afternoon at Overbridge Farm was tremendous fun fun and it was lovely to see many children enjoying the game. For some the mallet was almost as big as they were. The Pimm’s went down very well as did the cake. Although at 29 degrees quite a lot of water was drunk as well. Thank you Dermot Budd for hosting us.

Within two weeks we were at The Laurels, for more Croquet, Gauge 1 trains and a cream tea. Although some found the energy for more croquet for others it was a relaxing afternoon sitting in a beautiful garden watching a train puff past with a cuppa and a scone in hand. Thank you to Adam and Rosemary Houghton for inviting us.

The next event is something different, LEGO® Festival and we hope it will interest people of all ages both to enter a display or to come and see the exhibits and enjoy the refreshments.
