Staplehurst Bellringers Report November 2021
On Tuesday 2nd November, we will be holding our Tower AGM. Last year we held the Meeting by e-mail and we are pleased to be able to hold it in person this year. As well as electing our tower officers for the coming year, we will be considering what we can do to replace those ringers who have decided not to return following the pandemic. Another issue to be discussed is the future of the hand bell group in which considerable interest was originally shown but which never got off the ground before the pandemic hit.
Despite the smaller number of ringers we have still been able to ring for Sunday services, albeit often with the help of ringers from other churches whose different service times allow them to ring with is as well. We are extremely grateful to them for their assistance.
Hopefully we will be able to ring for the upcoming Christmas services once they are finalised. We should know more on this by the next issue. Meanwhile we have no additional ringing scheduled for November, so we will just be ringing on our normal Tuesday practice evening and for the regular Sunday Services.
