News from the Tower
We start this month’s report with some good news. Congratulations to Daniel Brady and his partner Emily on the birth of their second child Edward, a brother for William. Edward was born on Saturday 1st July and weighed in at a healthy 7lb 9oz.
Meanwhile, congratulations of a different kind to Adam Brady who rang for the Ancient Society of College Youths in the prestigious National 12-bell Contest in Sheffield on the 24th of June. Certainly a good month for the Brady family!
Readers may remember that in last month’s issue I reported on our Tower Outing to Essex. Similarly bands from other towers around the country occasionally ask to ring at Staplehurst as part of their outing and we have one such request from the ringers of St Mary Faversham who will be ringing our bells from 4.30 – 5.15pm on Saturday 5th August. Other than this there is no additional ringing planned during August and we will be ringing for Sunday Services and our normal Tuesday practice.
