As reported in July magazine, Kent Young Ringers rang in National Youth Ringing Contest in Nottingham on 4th July.

I am pleased to report that they came a creditable second in their category.

The contest featured no less than 43 teams.

Clearly the future of bellringing in Kent is in good hands.

Moreover, Staplehurst Bellringers Report August 2026 confirms that promising signs continue.

Usually August is a quiet month with many ringers on holiday. This Staplehurst Bellringers Report August 2026 records the events.

However, this year we have several visiting bands.

On Saturday 1st August, ringers from the neighbouring Tonbridge District will hold a practice meeting. It runs from 10 am to 12 noon.

Then the following Saturday, 8th, a visiting band will be ringing a quarter-peal. It starts at 10 am and lasts about 50 minutes.

Additionally, on Saturday 15th we will be ringing for a 1.30 pm wedding.

In addition, we will be ringing for our regular Tuesday practice.

Additionally, the monthly advanced practice on Monday 10th and Sunday services continue.
