Love in a Box

Christmas Shoebox Appeal – Help Make a Difference!

Thank you to everyone who has supported this appeal over the years – your generosity is deeply appreciated. For those unfamiliar, I collect shoeboxes filled with suitable items for babies,
children, teenagers, or elderly people. These are distributed to hospices, care homes, and vulnerable communities in Romania, including Ukrainian refugees. For many, it’s their only Christmas gift.

How to Help:

  • Fill a shoebox with appropriate items (leaflets available at the back of the church or upon request).
  • Wrap the box in Christmas paper, but keep the lids removable for customs checks.
  • I have spare boxes (wrapped or unwrapped) if needed.
  • Please return completed boxes by mid-October.
  • A £3 donation helps cover transport costs.

If you can’t fill a box, donations of new items or money are welcome; I’ll complete a box on your behalf. Last year, over 300 boxes were collected from Staplehurst and nearby—amazing work
