Dementia UK

All Saints’ Church Staplehurst Charity for July, August, and September 2021

All Saints Church has chosen Dementia UK to support for three months beginning in July 2021.

Who amongst us has not had any contact with dementia? Not many, I’m sure. So, it is a comfort to know that there is an organisation out there to give us help.

Dementia UK is that organisation and this is what they offer.

First and foremost, they provide Admiral Nurses, named after the founder of the charity who was nicknamed Admiral because of his love of sailing. Admiral Nurses are committed to giving quality dementia care. This is available in the community, hospitals and via their Helpline, not only supporting patients but also their families who may be juggling careers and caring responsibilities alongside family needs.

Dementia UK is a powerful campaigner, championing the rights of patients and families to understand their options regarding the care, support and practical assistance available to them and then acting as their advocate too.

Please give as generously as you can to support this charity in its work with a disease which touches so many of us.
