Since my last report, our ringers have played their part in commemorating the passing of our late Queen. Indeed for ringers across the country and beyond it has been an extremely busy time, with more than 15,000 performances to her memory.

The Staplehurst Bellringers join with the rest of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth in mourning the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday 8th September. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

I hope all our readers are enjoying the series of articles about bellringing by Rebecca Steele. Her offering this month focuses on the national youth ringing competition. However, there is still much going on in our own tower.
