Staplehurst Bellringers Report November 2023
News from the Tower
On Tuesday 10th October we were honoured to ring for the funeral service and thanksgiving for the life of the late Sylvia Lade, for many years a loyal member of our congregation. Sylvia was probably best known for her lovely voice in All Saints’ Church choir, but she was also PCC Secretary and undertook many other Church duties over the years.
Unfortunately, the visiting ringers from East Sutton had to cancel their visit at the end of October, but we have another visiting band on Saturday 25th November, starting at 10:15am for approximately one hour. Before then, on Tuesday 7th November, we will be holding our Tower AGM at which we will be electing our tower officers for the coming year, so ringing will be somewhat curtailed that evening. We will of course also be ringing on Remembrance Sunday, but at the later time of 10am, for the 10:45am service.
Otherwise we will be ringing for the regular Sunday services and on our normal Tuesday evening practice as detailed on our website https://bells.allsaintsstaplehurst.co.uk
