Charity for April, May and June 2015

Maidstone Street Pastors

This charity works in Maidstone to help and rescue clubbers who get into difficulties.

The Street Pastors are trained to help those young people who become drunk, or are suffering from drug abuse, have lost their friends, or their shoes, are just unable to cope with Saturday night in Maidstone, or need someone to talk to. They also provide hot drinks for the homeless.

It costs £300 to train a street pastor and the charity has to meet other expenses in their work.

We will have a speaker from the charity on Sunday April 12th at the 10.00am service who will tell us more about the valuable work they carry out. Do come to hear Nigel Downes who is the coordinator of Maidstone Street Pastors.
