The Great Get Together Grand Picnic Lunch

18 June @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Grand Picnic Lunch

All Saints’ Churchyard – Sunday 18th June

12:30 – 15:00

The Great Get Together is a national event inspired by Jo Cox MP, who was killed on 16 June last year.

“Jo’s killing was meant to divide us and we think the best response is to show how united we are. We believe there is a groundswell of people who reject divisive politics and simply want to bring our communities together and celebrate all that unites us. This is our chance.”

Brendan Cox

“Set to take place over the weekend of the 17 and 18 June, it’s quite simply an open invitation for communities, neighbours, friends and families to come together and show that, as Jo herself said in her maiden speech in Parliament, ‘We have more in common than that which divides us.’“

Bishop Trevor of Dover

Great Get together in Staplehurst

All Saints Church invites you to bring your picnic lunch to the churchyard on Sunday 18th June from 12.30 onwards. We hope you will come along and enjoy this beautiful space in the heart of our village, meet new people and celebrate the fact that Staplehurst is a good place to live.

There will be a treasure hunt for children, soft drinks on sale and guided tours of the church. Just bring something to sit on, and your picnic.
