  1. “The Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof” ….. meditate.
  2. Let us praise Him for the beauty and the bounty of this Earth.
  3. “the sea is His and He made it” ….. meditate.
  4. Let us treasure the oceans, rivers and streams, and the wonders in them.
  5. pray about all manufactured products, that they are not destructive to the environment.
  6. prayers for the whole of humankind, we were made in His image.
  7. remembering the millions displaced by war and natural disasters.
  8. let us remember that good can overcome evil.
  9. let us remember Jesus’ words when I was hungry etc. “you did not”
  10. pray for all who have lost loved ones in terrorist action.
  11. together with those badly injured, especially long term care.
  12. Pray for police and rescue personnel who encounter these disasters.
  13. pray for those in Aleppo, ordinary citizens caught up in war.
  14. let us pray also for the many caught up in conflict, they are brothers and sisters in Christ.
  15. also consider that “God so loved the world that He gave His Son””.
  16. this includes those of other faiths, and none. God so loved the World!
  17. Pray for our new government as they negotiate Brexit.
  18. and as they consider our future power needs and Hinkley Point
  19. pray for the Labour Party, we need a good, strong opposition.
  20. new terms, new changes which some children find difficult to cope with.
  21. those starting school, it can be very tiring, especially if you have just turned four.
  22. on into senior school, it can be very tiring, especially those with “special needs”.
  23. pray for all teaching staff, the pressure on them is great, there is much discouragement.
  24. as we look at our N.H.S., pray for all junior doctors.
  25. we need nurses to train here in this country, pray for vision from government.
  26. we pray for all from overseas who live and work here that they will feel welcome.
  27. pray for all British people who have settled in Europe and how Brexit will affect them.
  28. we pray for our surgery and all the staff we come into contact with.
  29. pray for the Village Plan and how it will affect us all.
  30. let us finish this month with praise “count our blessings”.

Please pray daily for the work of our chosen charity for this month, Muscular Dystrophy UK, and remember all those who need our prayers.

  1. We give thanks Lord for one of the loveliest months of the year.
  2. We pray for all those who suffer from hay fever, especially those taking exams.
  3. We pray for sun and rain to help crops grow and ripen, and the farmers who care for them.
  4. We pray for all those returning from holidays, refreshed and restored.
  5. On World Environment Day we pray for all leaders and politicians to make decisions to protect the environment.
  6. We pray for our primary school returning to the final term of the academic year.
  7. As we consider the world environment, and the fruits of the earth, help us never to be greedy with our consumption and or in our desires.
  8. We pray for scientists who seek ways to develop renewable energy resources and for faith by governments and communities to invest in these.
  9. Help us Lord always to have eyes to see our beautiful local environment. Make us worthy custodians, and help us to take care of Staplehurst.
  10. We pray for the Duke of Edinburgh on his 95th birthday and give thanks for the support he gives the Queen.
  11. We give thanks for the example of the life of Queen Elizabeth as she celebrates officially her 90th birthday; for her commitment, her service and her care.

    pray for this day of celebration of music for our Patronal Festival.
  8. Remembrance Sunday
    pray for those who have died for their country.
  9. We thank you, Lord, that we are free to worship you.
  10. Pray for Christians who are persecuted for their beliefs. Protect them, Lord.
  11. Armistice Day
    pray for peace in the many war torn parts of the world.
  12. Pray for:
    the peacemakers.
  13. all victims of war.
  14. refugees, a safe haven for them and the re-building of their lives.
  15. all those preaching and teaching the Christian faith today.
  16. our government, that ministers may be blessed with wisdom and integrity.
  17. our village, that planners act wisely as they consider its development.
  18. our Rector, Lay Reader and Church Warden as they go about their duties.

  7. We pray for all refugees and asylum seekers and for those responsible for their plight.
